Can you figure out how toilet paper is connected to different parts of the ecosystem? Toilet paper is a type of paper, and we learned how paper made from trees affects natural resources. If you look closely at the picture below, you will notice that this toilet paper is made mostly from recycled paper. That means that this TP did not come directly from felled trees, but from the paper that people threw in the recycling bin. Recycled paper has less impact on the forest, animals, decomposers, soil and water than paper made entirely from trees.

When shopping at the store, look for products made from recycled materials. If you look closely at the picture of recycled toilet paper below, you will notice that the package says, "paper made from paper."
